    Attorney, elected by the Bar Association of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina

    Member of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina (HJPC BiH)

    Term: 01/2025 – 01/2029

    Ms Elma Veledar Arifagić was born in 1976 in Sarajevo. She completed primary school in Čapljina and secondary school in Stuttgart, Germany. She graduated from the Faculty of Law, University of Sarajevo, in 2003.

    She completed her legal internship at a law office in Sarajevo and passed the bar exam in January 2006, before the Commission of the Ministry of Justice FBiH.

    From November 2007 to June 2014, she worked as a legal advisor at the Office of the Agent of the Council of Ministers of BiH before the European Court of Human Rights.

    Since June 2014, she has been working as an attorney. In October 2024, she was elected as a member of the HJPC BiH on behalf of the Bar Association of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

    She is a regular lecturer on civil law, labour law, and human rights topics. She is the author & co-author of multiple articles published in domestic legal bulletins that provide relevant information for legal professionals in Bosnia and Herzegovina. She is fluent in English and German.
