The Standing Committee for Test Procedures, Structured Interviews, and Improving Appointment Procedures deals with issues related to conducting entrance exams and written test procedures for judicial office candidates, as well as carrying out structured interviews with candidates, and in particular:

a)      Ensuring the quality of and overseeing entrance exams and written test procedures for judicial positions;

b)      Deciding on procedural matters related to entrance exam and written test procedures;

c)      Establishing the criteria for conducting structured interviews;

d)      Determining the design of the entrance exam and written test, and verifying the consistency of electronically generated tests with the established test design;

e)      Deciding on candidate appeals regarding the entrance exam and written test procedures;

f)       Providing recommendations to the Council on updating the test tasks database and deciding on the right to access the test task database;

g)      Deciding not to conduct or postpone an electronically conducted entrance exam or written test, and deciding on when to conduct entrance exams in printed form;

h)      Preparing and selecting written templates for written assignments in accordance with special regulations;

i)        Scoring the written tests in accordance with the Book of Rules on Entrance Exams and Written Tests;

j)        Deciding on the disqualification of and banning candidates from taking an entrance exam or a written test;

k)      Identifying contentious issues and proposing measures to improve the appointment procedure for judicial office holders;

l)        Reviewing statistical reports that are submitted subsequent to a statistical analysis;

m)   Deciding on other issues related to entrance exam and written test procedures, and the test task database.
